# 250 m³/Day CLC Block Plant — Maharashtra

_Cellular Lightweight Concrete at Scale for Affordable Housing_

**Location:** Maharashtra, India | **Capacity:** 250 m³/day | **Plant Type:** CLC Block Plant | **Year:** 2021

A Maharashtra-based developer needed reliable Indian-made CLC block production for an affordable housing project under PMAY. Maruti delivered a 250 m³/day CLC plant from feasibility through commissioning in under 90 days.

## Key Metrics

* **Daily Output:** 250 m³
* **Time to Produce:** 87 Days
* **Cost Reduction:** \~22%
* **Commission Year:** 2021

## The Challenge

The developer was procuring CLC blocks from external suppliers at inconsistent quality and price. They needed to bring production in-house to control costs for a PMAY-funded affordable housing project. The brief required a compact plant footprint on a 1-acre site, CLC mix design for BIS Grade D0.6 (600 kg/m³), and production start within 90 days of order.

## The Maruti Solution

Maruti Hydraulics supplied a complete CLC block plant including high-output foam generators, slurry batching system with automated water-cement ratio control, casting moulds, and an on-site curing yard system. The plant layout was engineered for the constrained 1-acre site with a linear flow from mixing to curing without cross-traffic. Mix design was validated at the Nashik facility before dispatch for consistent D0.6 grade output.

* [AAC Batching System](/products/aac-batching-system)

## The Result

Commercial production of CLC blocks commenced within 87 days of order. The plant produces IS 2185 Part-4 compliant D0.6 grade blocks used across the PMAY housing project. In-house production reduced per-block cost by approximately 22% versus external procurement, improving project margins for the developer.
