Key Features

  • Gravimetric load cell dosing for each ingredient — cement, sand, lime, gypsum, and additives — ensures batch-to-batch repeatability.
  • Ploughshare or twin-shaft intensive mixer achieves thorough, homogeneous blending in 7 minutes per batch.
  • PLC/SCADA automated control panel with recipe storage — switch between tile adhesive, wall putty, and masonry mortar with a single button.
  • Pulse-jet bag filter dust collection system keeps the plant environment clean and protects mixer and pneumatic components.
  • Flexible output: inline bagging in 25/40/50 kg bags or direct bulk silo filling for large-volume customers.
  • Modular design — start with core mixing and add sand drying, sand washing, and screening as your production scales.
  • Support equipment available: Sand Dryer, Sand Washer, Vibrating Screen, Screw Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Weigh Batching Hoppers.
  • Energy-efficient operation — no boiler or autoclave required, minimal utility consumption.
  • Turnkey supply: plant layout, equipment fabrication, civil guidance, installation, commissioning, and operator training.

Manufacturing Process

  1. Raw Material Receiving & Storage — Cement, sand, lime, gypsum, and specialty additives are received and stored in individual bins, hoppers, or silos. Separate storage prevents cross-contamination and allows precise individual weighing.
  2. Sand Preparation — Drying, Washing & Screening — Incoming sand is first washed to remove clay and organic impurities, then dried in a rotary drum dryer to bring moisture below 0.5%. A vibrating screen classifies sand into the required particle size fractions.
  3. Gravimetric Batching & Weighing — Each raw material is individually weighed by a dedicated load cell hopper before entering the mixer. The PLC control system compares actual weights against the stored recipe and adjusts discharge valves automatically.
  4. Intensive Mixing — Weighed ingredients are discharged simultaneously into the ploughshare or twin-shaft intensive mixer. High-speed mixing blades fold and shear the blend for 7 minutes, producing a perfectly homogeneous, lump-free dry mix.
  5. Dust Collection — A pulse-jet bag filter mounted above the mixer captures fine dust generated during mixing and transfer. Collected dust is returned to the batch, eliminating waste and maintaining a clean plant environment.
  6. Finished Product Storage, Bagging & Dispatch — Mixed dry mortar is conveyed to a finished product silo or directly to an inline bagging machine. Automatic bagging weighs and fills 25 kg, 40 kg, or 50 kg bags, which are then sealed, labeled, and stacked for dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions

What products can be manufactured on a Dry Mix Mortar Plant?

A Dry Mix Mortar Plant can produce a wide range of construction materials from a single production line: tile adhesive (C1 and C2 grade), wall putty, cement plaster, masonry mortar, block jointing mortar, self-leveling floor compounds, and waterproof coatings. Different products are made by switching the stored recipe on the PLC control panel and changing the additive dosage — the core plant equipment remains the same.

What is the difference between a Dry Mix Mortar Plant and a Ready Mix Plaster Plant?

A Dry Mix Mortar Plant is a multi-product facility designed for tile adhesive, wall putty, masonry mortar, and block jointing mortar — products used primarily for tile fixing, block laying, and joint filling. A Ready Mix Plaster Plant is purpose-built for wall plastering materials — gypsum plaster, cement plaster, and lime plaster — which require finer particle sizes, tighter setting-time control, and different additive profiles. Maruti Hydraulics manufactures both types.

What is the capacity of Maruti Hydraulics Dry Mix Mortar Plants?

Maruti Hydraulics offers three standard models: DM 500 (16,000 Kg per shift), DM 1000 (32,000 Kg per shift), and DM 1500 (48,000 Kg per shift). All models share a 7-minute batch cycle time. Custom capacities beyond DM 1500 are available on request. The plant price starts from ₹5 Lacs onwards depending on the model and automation level.

What support equipment is required for a Dry Mix Mortar Plant?

The core Dry Mix Mortar Plant includes the mixer, batching system, and control panel. Support equipment that may be added depending on raw material quality includes: Sand Dryer (to reduce moisture below 0.5%), Sand Washer, Vibrating Screen (for particle size classification), Screw Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Weigh Batching Hoppers, Pulse-jet Bag Filter, and an automatic Bagging Machine. Maruti Hydraulics supplies all support equipment as part of the turnkey package.
